The day Shelene Bryan came up with the idea for Skip1.org, she called Matt Warren & Drew Lucas at Radar. It was April 2009. Five months later on September 1st, Skip1.org launched by holding its first SkipDay in Los Angeles. To date, Skip1.org has built kitchens in the Dominican Republic, Peru and Rwanda and has distributed food or water to children in need in Haiti, Uganda and the Caribbean as well as here in the U.S. 100% of all public donations go to feeding children in need with all operating costs (including the credit card processing fees) covered by private partners.
Radar created Skip1’s iconic brand as well as a robust and interactive website that features recent “skips” (or donations), videos, pics, a blog and current projects donors can support. Radar also designed brochures that could be handed out at events, t-shirts, stickers, water bottles and bracelets, all in an effort to help build brand equity and spread the Skip1 story. Radar has produced several SkipDay events which feature videos, a plethora of volunteers coming together to build FoodPaks or GloveBags, guest speakers with powerful stories, VIP & celebrity experiences and webcasts, highlight videos, press and social to support all of these strategic efforts.
In 2010, Radar produced a 60-second PSA for Skip1.org as well as several webisodes featuring author & speaker Francis Chan (featured below).
