If you have no idea what SXSW is, then keep reading:

There’s no doubt South by Southwest is a major event: SXSW is the highest revenue-producing special event for the Austin economy, with an estimated economic impact of at least $110 million in 2008. With more than 1,400 performers playing in more than 80 venues around Austin over four days, SXSW Music is really why people come here. But over the years, SXSW Film has become one of the world’s premiere film festivals while SXSW Interactive has attracted a strong following among web creators and entrepreneurs. SXSW Interactive’s focus on emerging technology has earned the festival a reputation as a breeding ground for new ideas and creative technologies. Twitter launched at SXSW Interactive in 2007.

Public Storage 2010

For the third year in a row, Radar was asked to provide media elements and on-site stage management for Public Storage’s annual AMC event in Anaheim, CA. Hired by Ethos, Radar produced a highlight video that featured images & highlights from 2009, a spoof on the NBC TV series “The Office,” and a music video featuring some of Public Storage’s senior management staff, employees and field ops. Radar also provided on-site media management, PowerPoint design and operating, camera operators, show directing and stage management. Photos courtesy of Moses Sparks.

Project Kindle’s Dance Marathon at UCLA

We’re helping out our friends at Project Kindle today by producing the live webcast of their Dance Marathon at UCLA. Dance Marathon at UCLA 2010 is the 9th annual event of its kind at the UCLA campus. Seeking to educate, fundraise, and spread awareness about the global pediatric AIDS pandemic, Dance Marathon unites over 3,000 students every year in Ackerman Grand Ballroom to literally take a stand against pediatric AIDS. More information on the event can be found here. Watch the stream, chat it up & say hello. We’ll literally be here all night (did we mention it’s a 26-hour dance marathon?). This year, they raised $407,223.73!

Stats update (posted at 1:00 PM PT on 2/14/10): The stream was shared 70 times on Facebook and 47 times on Twitter. The average audience was 65 viewers and peaked at 180+ viewers on 2/14 at 1:00 PM PT. The stream averaged about 90,000+ total viewer minutes).

Radar’s New Burbank Office

It’s with great pleasure that we announce our new address for Radar Multimedia.

Radar Multimedia
4111 W. Alameda Ave. • Suite 412
Burbank, CA 91505

Same number (818) 567-1119 and email/web.

As many of you know, we sold the 118 N. Sparks St. property last Summer and “hovered” while we built out our new offices in Burbank. The new office features an amazing conference room, plenty of space for our team to work on your projects and a 12-seat screening room (we’re excited about rolling out “Friday Flicks” this Summer). Stay tuned for an invite to our open house later this year. It’ll be a lot of fun. Special thanks to Steve Hand at The HAND Company for making this a reality.

Please update your accounting & mailing information with the new address and delete the 3940 Laurel Canyon address from your records, effective immediately.

Thanks for your business, support and patience as we transition Radar into 2010 & beyond.

Matt
