The LACDC Turns 40

Radar was tapped to produce all media modules for the Los Angeles Community Design Center’s 40th Anniversary Celebration event at the historic Union Station in Los Angeles. Radar produced an opening Brand Launch video as well as Keynote presentations and two 20-minute sponsor loops. After 40 years, the LACDC also decided to change its name to Abode Communities.

Filming in Tennessee

Hey everyone. I just got back from Tennessee where I was filming reshoots for the Stop & Think DVD with David Nasser. Below are some screen shots from the shoot (uncorrected). The plan is to have the DVD ready for a Christmas release. Stay tuned.

Radar v3.0 Launches

Radar launched its new website today. This is the third redesign since 2004. The new site allows users to access Radar’s extensive portfolio with ease and loads fast in both web browsers and mobile applications such as iPhones and newer PDA’s. The site will eventually feature a comprehensive Propaganda page, specific case studies and PDF’s for download.

Faith-Based Blockbusters

Host Claude Brodesser-Akner looks deep inside the business of entertainment in a half-hour of thoughtful and irreverent dialogue with Hollywood’s top deal-makers, filmmakers, moguls, artists and agents. The latest podcast is about the movie “Fireproof.”

There’s been a lot of discussion lately about “Fireproof” — specifically regarding the business model Provident and Samuel Goldwyn Mayer have implemented so flawlessly on their past three films. Do you think this model will continue to work and if so, for how long? How many movies a year do you think the Evangelical community will support before the playing field becomes over-saturated and over-commercialized?
