radar creates website for captive audience

RADAR recently completed work on a new website for Burbank-based special effects house Captive Audience Productions. Captive Audience, known for its Oscar-winning work on more than 100 motion pictures, is also known for its use of Seamless Integration of visual effects and makeup effects. The new website features a project gallery, recent press/PR and opportunities for interested artists. Additional features on the website will be rolled out within the next few months.

Updated February 4, 2007: Captive Audience Productions has filed for bankruptcy. Their website is no longer online. Click here to view the websites which is currently being hosted on Radar’s site.

radar to produce jafra’s summer trip

Jafra Cosmetics International has tapped RADAR to produce its annual Summer Trip for 550 women from the U.S. Hispanic Market comprised mostly of consultants and district directors. The event will be held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu August 10-13, 2006. The four-day incentive trip will feature entertainment, training & marketing, recognition and fun in the Hawaiian sun. Since this year marks Jafra’s 50th anniversary, the themes will center around a golden celebration and the Jafra of tomorrow.

tarzana treatment centers

Tarzana Treatment Centers has tapped RADAR to produce a comprehensive DVD for its organization. RADAR will produce several videos for the drug treatment centers located throughout Southern California which will be distributed to parents, potential patients and private insurance agencies in regional areas such as Phoenix and Los Angeles. The videos will highlight certain services and will be uploaded to the Tarzana website once post production has been completed. Production begins Tuesday the 20th with a completion date of mid-July.

radar returns safely from uganda

RADAR’s Matthew Warren and Drew Lucas returned to Los Angeles on Thursday after a five day trip to Uganda, Africa. Warren and Lucas stayed busy during the short trip filming multiple video clips for Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village, Africa Renewal Ministries, Children’s Hunger Fund and Vapor Productions. The team also upgraded the existing video editing system at Gaba Community Church, leaving them with a new laptop complete with Motion, Final Cut Pro and the entire Adobe video suite. Images from the trip can be viewed by clicking here. The RADAR team may return to Uganda next August for a concert event at the Mandela National Stadium just outside Kampala.

RADAR’s Matt Warren and Drew Lucas depart for Uganda today. They’ll join up with several people from Children’s Hunger Fund and Africa Renewal Ministries in order to upgrade a video editing system that was installed in 2004. New cameras and equipment as well as new software and tools will be made available to the eight person video team. Africa Renewal Ministries (or ARM) produces educational DVD’s for faith-based operations throughout Uganda and East Africa. ARM’s main focus is food distribution to children and families who need it most. In addition to equipment upgrades and software installation, the RADAR team will be filming several interviews for multiple non-profit organizations.

jafra opportunity video

RADAR recently completed work on a video for Jafra Cosmetics International simply labeled “Jafra Opportunity Video.” The 7-minute DVD features the voice of Renee Raudman as well as images and moving text set to music. The piece welcomes viewers to the world of Jafra and outlines how to become a district manager within the organization. 100 DVD’s of the opportunity video will be distributed to field development managers across the country.
